May 20185/8/2018 Q1: How has the defendant's father being in jail affected him?
Q2: During the case, the defendant said he went up to the fourteen year old for drugs but the defendant said he did not know him and just assumed that he had drugs with him. Do you believe that he was telling the truth? Why or why not? Q3: The defendant told us that he had tried to cook meth and his mother said she did not know. Do you believe that at this point the defendant was addicted to meth and was desperate for it or was he just trying to sell it?

1. I think that he was affected by his father going to jail because they might have had a good bond and led him into doing meth.

Q1: I believe that the father being in jail has taken a bad toll on the defendant since he doesn’t have a father figure in his life and his mother is always working. It may have caused all this drug abuse.

Q1: The defendant's father being in jail has affected him in many ways. Some of the ways we heard during the case would be the fact that his grades began to drop in the third grade, right after his father went to jail. It has also affected him because his mother is currently working two jobs and it seemed as if she did not have time to actually spend time with her kids.

1.) The defendant's father may have greatly affected him. Not having a good father figure to lead him into the right path may be a cause for his wrong actions. As soon as having his father in jail he might have he wrong mind set that being in jail may not be a wrong thing.

It seems as if the defendant’s father going to jail played a part in his school performance declining. He stated before his father went to jail that he had decent grades. As far as the 14 year old giving him drugs, I believe that maybe the 14 year old had offered to sell him the drugs or maybe a friend of the defendant had recommended him if they have purchased drugs from this boy before. It is most likely that after the amount of times the defendant smoked meth, that he was probably addicted to it.

The defendant being in jail would have impacted him in the sense that he, at a young age , would be surrounded by negative influence. I do not believe he just went up to someone and looked like the kind of person to have drugs.

Q1. The fathers absence of being in jail have affected the boy, because the boy didn’t really have a father figure. Also according to some evidence, the father was in jail for harrasment, that can include that there were more problems among the father.
